hand lettering on glass

pairI have said it before, but it’s worth repeating, I have such respect for hand lettering. Whenever I see it I stop and really take it in because of the effort that went into making it. The picture taken in Cincinnati was at a gas station of all places. It’s not perfect (Isn’t check cashing 2 words? Isn’t the dot on that i a bit of overkill?) but the lettering is still impressive. The same goes for the hand lettering at an abandoned tire store in Greer. I think it’s just beautiful. Throw in what the weather has done to the letters, an apostrophe, and a tricked out drop shadow and I’m pretty much in hand lettering heaven.2
