Today’s post is a great example of an idea working in theory but in execution it’s a complete fail. Maybe it looked better on paper but in person, it just doesn’t work. The Miami Beach Cinematheque is Miami’s Premiere HD art house cinema. MBC was built by Carl Fischer in 1927 and is home to the Miami Beach Film Society. Great history with an unfortunate sign. What a mess. As I was standing in front of this sign wondering what in the world the designer was thinking, I noticed that small black sign to the left of the door. Here’s a close up:
In my opinion, this sign is way better than the others, if only this branded the building.
