I am closing out #graffitiweek with this wall of murals found in Miami. This is located on the side of the Goodwill building where I the Banksy is located. The wall is sectioned off into squares that are comissioned to graffiti artists from around the world. The mural of squares is the entire side of the building as well as the back alley. It’s amazing. Here are some detailed shots:
The Square on the top left is done by graffiti artist AholSniffsGlue (what a name!). He is currently in the middle of a law suit with American Eagle. He is suing them for intellectual property infringement. You can read more about that here. The square underneath that one is done by urban artist GG. I was fortunate enough to meet him at my talk and have dinner with him that evening. You can see more examples of his incredible work here.
At the bottom of this picture you will see a stencil of one of my all time favorite pics. Here it is close up:
That brings #graffitiweek to an end. Back at it on Monday with typography, have a great weekend!
