1 Today I’m pairing two different types of hotel ghost signs. The picture taken in Fredericksburg was very easy to miss as you can see in the picture above. I only got a glimpse of a couple of letters but that was enough for me to circle the block to try to get the rest of the sign. Here are some more detailed shots:


This neon motel sign found in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque is located on the famous Route 66. There is no motel though, just this beautiful sign from 1932 pointing to a vacant piece of land. The motel has been torn down but the developer has promised that whatever building ends up on the land, this sign will remain.



Two great examples of signs from our past that are clinging on for dear life to have a place in our future.
