Happy Manhole Monday! Here are two covers that I have come across that cover up the under workings of traffic signals. The one taken in Cuyahoga Falls is in the middle of a sidewalk and it seems that this was pretty well thought out. It’s just a square cover with a TRAFFIC plaque centered and screwed down. The one taken in San Antonio doesn’t seem as thoughtful. This is located at the end of a sidewalk and beginning of a road. The covers seem like they are repurposed from something else and should I even mention the way the letters are crudely welted on there? Interesting contrast for something that most consider insignificant.
