Manhole Monday: beaten up

It’s Monday! Today’s Manhole Monday pairing are two that I have come across that have seen better days. What fun would it be to look at pristine letters all the time?! I have a feeling that these aren’t affected by the weather as much as they are affected by the friction of traffic and the use of machines to open them.
