beer and ketchup

pairI think both of these pictures look so neat side by side. A giant beer and ketchup building on the top of a building. Sure, why not?! Pearl Brewery was originally founded in 1881. It has gone through many changes but is now thriving in downtown San Antonio. Here’s a close up of the beautiful lettering:

The pictures of the Senator John Heinz History Center were taken from the highway but I had to capture it…because look at that giant ketchup bottle!
An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the History Center is the largest history museum in Pennsylvania. The 275,000 sq. ft. museum – recently named “Best Museum” by the readers of Pittsburgh Magazine – features six floors of long-term and changing exhibition space, including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, a dynamic museum-within-a-museum, and the Library & Archives, an extensive scholarly resource documenting 250 years of life in Western Pennsylvania.
