pairHere’s a little typographic humor for your Wednesday. Big thanks to one of my favorite co-workers, Patrick Watson, for sharing a picture he took in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. I can’t imagine the amount of time and effort that went into sewing this tapestry. I REALLY can’t imagine the amount of pain and heartache when the artist realized the word ‘in’ is missing. I would make a typographic joke here but since Jesus is involved, I will refrain. Thank you Patrick for sharing this picture.
While I was in Richmond last Spring, I walked past Dalton’s Salon Hair Chateau. I couldn’t pass by without laughing and snapping a pic. What a fail. I can hear that poor apostrophe saying ‘seriously, you’re gonna do this to me?’, and that S is so embarrassed (can’t blame him). To add insult to injury, there’s a naked floating/drowning legless woman in a sea of sunflowers forever looking at the mistake. I know I don’t have beautiful hair but if I was stuck on a sign advertising a salon/hair chateau, I’d hope my hair would look a hell of a lot better than this.1
