This is one of my favorite pairings. Another great example of how our culture affects typography. This picture from New York City’s Time Square was taken by Philipp Klinger Photography. It’s one of the most beautiful pictures I’ve seen of Times Square. It’s sensory overload. You can almost hear all the horns honking, people talking and all the other commotion going on. I thought it made a strong comparison to the picture from Hong Kong. Thanks to Elena Kate Gifford for sharing what has become one of my favorite pictures. All the different fonts and colors are just amazing and reminded me of the vibe from Times Square. Both of these cities are duking it out for the highest concentration of varying signs in one location. Like the picture taken in NYC, I can hear the commotion, the people talking, the different smells. It’s such a striking example of bright lights in a big city.
