Have you ever noticed how beautiful the entrance to a neighborhood or city can be? It’s so easy to pass by these gems and not even notice them…or if you have lived in one place for several years, it’s really hard to SEE these signs. That’s why traveling, for me, is so interesting. Everything is new and fresh and different. I was reminded of this with Tyler’s picture, the entrance to a neighborhood in Houston. Thanks Tyler for sharing your picture! The whimsical nature of the letterforms looks like a fun, young and hip place to live…compared to Smithville, where I’m not sure anything has happened. Ever. Except this building. Marked by a sign. We passed through this town and I snapped a few shots but there’s not much going on here. It’s a very quaint, small mid-western town. But you get that just by looking at the deign of the entrance to the town.
