I was in the booming metropolis of Wooster, Ohio (population: 26,000) yesterday and happened to drive by this beauty of a sign. The metal letters of Melvin’s Burgerstein’s make a faux fence for this outside patio. I’m not sure what’s going on with those horrendous palm trees but that killer apostrophe more than makes up for it. Man, what a beauty.

The minute I saw these words wrap around this patio, I immediately thought of the Steve Madden store in NYC.

Steve Madden takes a bit more of a risk (hey, it’s NYC!) by wrapping mid-word (which I love) and breaking up the letters by strategically placed panels.
